Hi there,

Art of War has just been through a second translation and editing pass, and is now being reviewed prior to me giving it the go-ahead to enter layout. It's making slow but steady progress - as you may well know, it's a complex book and a considerable translation job, but we're keen to make sure it's as good as we can possibly make it before releasing it for sale.

I'm hoping it will be in layout by the end of October, for a pre-Christmas release, but I'll confirm when I have more information.

Many thanks for your patience,

Best,

Sarah

I take it that Qin is a dead line and that Cubicle 7 is not going to publish the art of war?

It certainly looks that way, what with all the focus on The One Ring.

As I' ve stated in another thread before, at Essen-Messe I was told by Cubicle-Staff that the translation was slow with this book and that it most probably should arrive somewhere in early 2012, maybe February. I don' t think it' s dead yet.

I'm pretty sure the line isn't dead, they've already spent a lot of time and effort on it :-)

However, it is probably the last time I'll prepay for something from the Qin line - what is it, something like 15 months since I ordered and paid for it ?

The translation work has slowed down a little,
but Art of War is still on the list.

Drew

I don't have a specific eta, but I believe its actually not too far away.
We're having a reorganise with the translations (and not in a bad way) so there should be more news very soon.

While the offiical word lies with the mighty Dom,
We've been organising the releases for the 7th Circle games we have on the way.
Dom has asked me to take over project management on the translations so I'm functioning as a dedicated line developer for the line which should take the load off Dom.

We're currently working to try and get Yggdrasill, a game of mythic norse adventure released for Gen Con.

Art of War is translated and after a final proof will be going into layout very soon.
It is unlikley to make Gen Con but shouldn't be too far after.

Somewhere in between we'll be releasing the mysterious Kuro, a game of advanced technology and Japanese horror...

Keep an eye on the Cubicle 7 newsletter for official updates.
But rest assured we're still commited to releasing the complete Qin product line.

Sooner or later we will have our complete Qin stuff in english (Art of War, Tian Xia 1+2 and above everything: Shaolin and Wudang with its GM screen). I really hope, because I love this game. Don't let us down, guys!

It is getting close to 2013. Any chance that further Qin books will see release?
